Hello again J41L, in the main we'll have to agree to disagree although I will say that during the Todt/Brawn years Ferrari had a stable pair of hands at the helm but I think that started to fall apart when they both left, Ferrari don't seem to be very patient when their latest ' prodigy ' fails to deliver titles, fortunately for Charles they still support him although I do wonder if they signed Lewis in the hope he could be their missing link to the title as Charles has fallen short in the years he's been with them27-04-2025 22:27

evening J41L, just to clarify, my comment was directed in the way Ferrari view their drivers and NOT claiming the car was a sh1tbox, irrespective of 'hype' by his fanbase it was Ferrari, the media and the Ferrari fans who actively lit and stoked that fire, I'm sure you would acknowledge that Ferrari's market value increased significantly and I don't think you can attribute that to Lewis' own fanbase surely, tbh, this article is about Lewis and Ferrari so I won't be drawn into discussing LH/MB/Toto, we can do that another time ....chat later27-04-2025 19:12

evening JD-F125, I'll be big enough to acknowledge that Max has no equal WHEN he has a top quality teammate who he runs rings around like his previous partners at RB until then it's not that obvious to me27-04-2025 19:03

Why are we even reading the view of an ex F1 driver who played a very minor part in F1 50 years ago , I don't have a problem acknowledging that Max is very good but until he has a strong teammate to constantly challenge him there will always be question mark over how good, Sainz, Albon and Gasly found speed and consistency when they escaped the Red Bull pressure cooker27-04-2025 12:09

Driving for Ferrari is a poisoned challis, it's a bitter/sweet experience for a driver, sweet because they are a Ferrari driver and bitter when they fall victim to the hype and expectations of the Ferrari management, the Press and the fans, it's like a mantra at Ferrari dating back decades to Enzo the big boss 'even when the car is a sh1tbox it's never the car it's always the driver' the latest signing arrives amidst all the Pomp and Circumstance and then fall out of favour some sooner than others, even the best of them, Schumacher, Prost, Alonso, Vettel, Mansell , Raikkonen and Lewis will no doubt go the same way but at least he'll have pulled some good money out of it, LeClerc has been mooted as Ferrari's latest Championship Winner but he'll go the same way I have no doubt27-04-2025 11:57

Come on people, up to this point 47 comments, 4 are on topic 2 are muppets posting incomprehensible nonsense and 41 appear to be tit-for-tat insults, personal attacks, call it what you will, REALLY !!27-04-2025 09:14

A lot will depend on which team starts 2025 on the front foot with the new regs tbh Jason, he could move to MB and they f**k up again, won''t be many wins on the horizon 🤔26-04-2025 18:26

Afternoon J41L, I'm surprised Lewis actually thought it would successful tbh, go past any veggie coffee shop in town and they're never as full as a non-veggie, I don't mind a bit of veggie grub but it would never be my first port of call, for the most part tasteless expensive pap.26-04-2025 15:55

ALL the drivers find it easier at the front Lando no revelation there, it's more about how the driver deals with NOT being out front, 3 key areas you need to work on in those situations, Confidence, Commitment, Car Control 👍26-04-2025 08:29
